An Awesome Weekend Away!

So October is a really good month for us. We celebrated our 6th Anniversary (wedding anniversary), Mason turned 5 (read about it below) and we celebrated our 3rd Anniversary (when we were sealed in the temple). So this is what we did for both of our anniversaries this year. On October 1st Jon and I left for Salt Lake City. We checked into our room at the Little America Hotel. Then we walked around the gateway mall, ate at Tucano's, went on a carriage ride and we watched Devil. Then on October 2nd we got ready went to a cafe that was in the Little America Hotel ate some breakfast then we headed off to Park City where we went on the zip rider, alpine slide, alpine coaster, etc. We had a blast while we were there. Then we headed back to our hotel room and got all dressed up and we ate at the roof top. We were tired from our fun day and decided to go to our room and just relax. We ended up watching Salt and went to bed. We were in Heaven we got to sleep in and on Sunday morning we took our time getting ready and packing our things up and we left by noon. We had a great anniversary! Can't wait to have many more to come! Enjoy the pictures!

After eating dinner at the roof top on our special day.
I loved the view that we had while we ate.

Us going on the Alpine Coaster together.

Us on our room balcony. We had a great view!

The hotel had this set up when we got back from Park City.

Chaos But Worth It!!

Wow! Mason turned 5 in October. I have to say that it makes me feel old to have a 5 year old but I know I am not that old yet. We threw him a friend birthday party he invited 4 boys and 3 girls. I was really suprised that everyone came except for one of his friends. We got him a dragon pinata, which he was so excited to have it all filled with candy and toys and all the kids had a blast hitting it. He wanted to have a How to train your dragon birthday party but since it was at the last minute I was only able to go to walmart for his party stuff. I was really shocked to find that walmart didn't have any party stuff with How to train your dragon on it. But oh well. He picked out Toy Story 3 stuff instead. We ended up getting party favors for all the kids that came. Which was a really big hit. Since he had invited girls to his birthday party I got disney princess favors for all the girls so that they didn't have to have the toy story 3 stuff. The girls loved that idea so I was so glad that I didn't since I was debating on not doing it.
Mason loved all the gifts that he got and really thought it was cool to have that many kids over to play with. All I have to say is that I am so so glad that birthdays are only 1 time a year. :) It was a lot of work but I was glad that I did it cause the look on Mason's face was priceless and he was so happy for his birthday this year that I think he will remember his 5th birthday well. Here are some pictures of his special day! Enjoy!

All of Mason's friends that came and of course his little brother (Aiden)

He is such a silly boy.

If you know Mason this is just classic Mason pulling faces in pictures.
I think he was pretending to be a Dragon in this picture.

He is so proud of that Dragon.

Mason wanted cupcakes instead of a cake this year.
It's hard to read it but it says "Happy Birthday"

Busy Busy Year Ahead!

Wow it has been forever since I have updated our blog. So here is some things that are new with us. Mason will be started preschool on the 20th of this month, he will go in the morning for 4 days each week. He's so excited but I also don't think he realizes what going to school intels.

I am babysitting 3 extra kids during the week. On Mondays-Fridays I watch a little boy for a friend of mine and on Tuesdays & Thursdays I watch 2 girls a 4 year old and a 1 year old. It's been a big change for me but I really enjoy it. It's been nice to have girls around the house for a change too. I also have activity days twice a month on Thursday. I also have ortho appointments once a month.

Kids on the move come to help Aiden with his speech twice a month. He has been doing excellent in talking now. I have been so proud of him! Aiden is also doing alot better with potty training too. He has learned so much these past few months that I am just wowed (if that's even a word) by him! On top of all that I try to muster up the engery to keep my house cleaned through out the weeks.

I never thought that I would be this busy but I am glad that I am this busy so I have less time to be bored during the weeks.

Trouble Makers!

Last month I got up and went downstairs and fed my kids breakfast. They sat at the table and ate and I went into the living room and ate mine and put on a movie on from our netflix list. It went really quiet at my house. So that usually means my kids are doing something that they shouldn't be doing. So I paused my movie and sneaked upstairs to see what they were doing. I got half way up the stairs (I didn't even hear them go upstairs to play and the TV wasn't up loud at all) and I smelt shaving gel. So then I started to hurry up the stairs and I found my two boys making a mess. They got into our bathroom upstairs and found my husbands shaving gel and sprayed it all over the place. They sprayed it in the bathroom, on the carpet, on their dressers, bunk beds and of course all over themselves. They also got our floss out and strung it all over the bathroom. Ha ha!! I laugh now cause it was pretty funny! But at the time it wasn't. I of course made both of the boys help clean it up. Let me tell you that cleaning shaving gel off the carpet is REALLY hard to do! Needless to say I no longer watch any movies during the day while my boys are wake. After we cleaned up the mess I called Jon to tell him what they did. All he did was laugh at me. I also told my mom later on that day what they did and she did the same thing to me. Oh I also forgot to meantion that the night before this happened I bathed my boys. So when they were done they both had to have a bath again and our house smelt like shaving gel for 2 days and my kids' hair smelt like shaving gel too. Boys will be boys I guess! Here are some pictures that I took so you can see what they did.

Aiden cleaning off Mason's dresser. You can't really tell in the picture but he has shaving gel all over in his hair.

The blobs of shaving gel have floss in them.

A New Recipe Plus A New Park Adventure

Today I made swiss crockpot chicken with stuffing and steamed broccoli for dinner. The nice thing was that I put everything into the crockpot and let it cook all day. It was great! Whoever invented the crockpot was a genius. I also finally got our jogging stroller out of the storage unit yesterday. So since today was a nice day I decided to take Mason and Aiden out for a stroller ride, a picnic and to play at the park where some of their pictures were taken at. They had so much fun there and they needed to run off all their energy. Which they still had a ton of it when we got home. :) Since my boys enjoyed it so much I think I am going to do that more often. I even enjoyed it. I sat at one of the tables that was there and watched them have fun. I was also reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown while keeping an eye on them. The park was empty which was also another plus. Most parks around where we live are swamped with kids so you can't really do a whole lot of reading cause you have to keep a really close eye on your kids so they don't fight with the other kids that are there. Some of you might know what that is like. Oh and the dinner that was cooking all day turned out really YUMMY!! If any of you want to try it let me know.

Easter Time!

Our eggs are in the coloring process!
On Saturday we colored eggs together as a family. Sunday was probably one of the best Easter's we had. We got up, Jon went and hid the eggs for Mason and Aiden. We all went down stairs and helped the boys find the eggs. Aiden was the one that needed the most help with it since he is really short and he can't see up high very well. Mason on the other hand did really well. Their facial expressions were the best to watch! I loved it!
Jon and I went in the kitchen to make everyone breakfast. Ok so Jon bought me flirty aprons for Christmas this year. Jon decided to put one of them on while we were making breakfast. Haha! It was so hilarious! We made bacon, biscuits and over-easy eggs. It was delicious! We let the boys eat some of their candy they got from the easter bunny and then it was time for them to have a nap. Yes, I know what you all are thinking. Why give our kids candy and expect them to take a nap right after they ate it. It wasn't exactlly right after we ate. They had their candy before we ate breakfast. Well we tried to get Aiden down for his nap but it didn't work out so we put conference on. Jon and I played Monopoly while we watched it.

We made our boys sit down and chill out for awhile. Luckily Aiden feel asleep on the couch by me. Then I ended up taking Mason up stairs to his bed and we both hoped he would fall asleep, which he did. Once the boys woke up from their naps Jon had dinner all ready for us. We got a Honey Baked Ham for dinner. It was my first time having one and it was the best ever! We ended up having the ham, rice and green beans. Needless to say my husband did a wonderful job at making dinner. He is so good to us! I made sugar cookies with easter bunnies on them for the boys. Jon and I started to finish up our game that we were playing and then I realized that it was 9:55 p.m. so we had to put our game on hold and I went up stairs to bathe our boys. We got them into bed and Jon and I were finally able to finish our game. I had alot of fun! It has been awhile since we played games together. Oh and Jon won the game as usual. I am so proud of myself too! This year I did really good at taking pictures of our Easter. Way to go me! I hope all of you had a great Easter like we did. Enjoy the pictures!

Waiting to go on the egg hunt!

OOO!!! Look at my sweet egg!
